How to Make Playdough
For RED and YELLOW Playdough
Put all the ingredients in a sauce pan. Stir everything over medium heat until the dough forms and comes together. I timed it and it took 2 minutes and 40 seconds from start to finish.
Transfer onto a floured surface and let them cool.
For ORANGE Playdough
Once both RED and YELLOW playdoughs have cooled down, take an equal part of red and yellow. Then continuously mold them together until the colors blend into a solid orange color. My 3-year old did this and loved seeing the 2 colors initally form stripey designs until it finally became a solid orange.
And that’s it! It’s that easy to make a simple, classic playdough recipe in autumn colors. Use the playdough in play based learning activities. Create a craft for preschoolers using playdough. Or simply just have some open ended fun.
Playdough Storage
Make the playdough last for months by storing them in air tight containers or ziplock bags. If you leave the playdough out unsealed for long periods of time, it will dry out.
