Do you have a Star Wars fan? Are you looking for Star Wars Birthday Party Ideas? Do you want to throw him a Star Wars party, but don’t really want to spend too much on party favors? If you answered yes to all those questions, then you’d probably like these DIY Star Wars Party Favors. We created these for my son’s Star Wars Jedi Training party and the kids loved it! It is essentially candy covered chocolate formed into a lightsaber. Isn’t that cool?
And since it was a Jedi Training party, we packaged these chocolate lightsabers with an Official Jedi Training Certificate. All the kids had to do was complete the tasks set out in the Jedi Training Passport. And at the end of the party, they received their special certificates along with their special chocolate lightsaber.

What you need to make Chocolate Lightsabers:
How to make Chocolate Lightsabers:
- Insert the candy covered chocolate into the clear cellophane bags. We roughly put 20 pieces in each bag.
- Cut out a small piece of gray paper, approximately 1 x 3 inches big.
- Using a black marker, draw a horizontal line on the gray paper. Then draw around 3-4 short vertical lines.
- Carefully tape this gray piece of paper around the bottom part of the cellophane bag. Seal with tape.
And that’s it! Wasn’t it so easy? And it’s cost effective too. Create these homemade Star Wars party favors for your next party, and it will surely be a hit with the kids.
If you’d like to recreate the entire package along with the Jedi Training Certificate, here is a file that you can use to print your own Jedi Training Certificate <<< Click on the link to get your free Jedi Training Certificate image.
The link will open on a new tab. Save the JPEG image onto your computer (right click with a mouse then save). Then print it at home or better yet, print the image with a photo developer. The image is sized to print a 4 x 6″ photo. Insert the printed Jedi Training Certificate into 4″ x 6″ Clear Cellophane Bags along with the lightsaber placed diagonally. Seal and you’ve just made DIY Star Wars Party Favors.
