Create this Christmas Tree Appetizer for your next party this holiday season. It’s fun and easy to make that the kids will surely want to help make it. This Christmas treat is very simple that it can be made into a kids activity at home.
To replicate this Christmas Tree Appetizer, all you need are:
- Camembert cheese (or Brie)
- Red seedless grapes
- Green seedless grapes
- 3 different hard cheeses, preferably in varying colors and textures. In this photo, we used cheddar cheese, smoked cheese infused with spices and and Leyden.
- 3-4 pieces of Pretzels
- Half a carrot, sliced into matchsticks
- A few leaves of Parsley
Christmas Tree Appetizer Preparation:
The only preparation needed is slicing the cheeses. Cut the Camembert cheese (or Brie) into a star shape, and cube the 3 hard cheeses.
To assemble the Christmas Tree Appetizer:
Start by placing the star shaped cheese on top. Make your way down by alternating layers of red grapes, hard cheeses and green grapes. End with pretzels (or crackers) for the base of the Christmas Tree. Embellish the Christmas tree with parsley leaves and make the star shine with carrots cut into matchsticks.
Older children can definitely recreate this. But for younger kids, they can make their own Christmas Tree Appetizers using the leftover cheeses, grapes and carrots, just as ours did in this photo below:
