9 Bracelet Crafts using Toilet Paper Rolls

It’s been raining the past 3 days and our craft box was running low in supplies. So I thought I’d do a craft using recyclable materials today – toilet paper rolls. I remembered doing bracelet crafts using toilet paper rolls 6 years ago at my daughter’s playgroup. So that’s the activity the kids and I did. And I’m so glad we did, because the kids got into it and they continuously came up with new things to add to their basic bracelet craft design.

What you need to create Bracelet Crafts using Toilet Paper Rolls:

  • Toilet paper rolls
  • Scissors
  • Glue and/or sticky tape
  • Ribbons, Colored paper and ANYTHING you can find in your craft box – make this an open activity with your kids. Let them express their creativity!

The Steps to create Bracelet Crafts using Toilet Paper Rolls:

1. Cut a straight line along the toilet paper roll to open up the cylindrical shape.

2. Cut the toilet paper roll horizontally this time, spacing it out depending on the thickness you’d like for your bracelet. We cut one toilet paper roll into 3 equal parts.

3. The fun part! – Decorate, Design, Be Creative!

Here are some of our bracelet craft creations…

With some help, the kids covered their toiler paper roll in blue coloured paper. Then they stuck letters, ribbons, jewels and shapes on them – just anything they found in our craft box…

Then we found red duct tape and realised it would be easier to cover the toilet paper rolls in duct tape rather than coloured paper. So, here’s what they created using that…

It didn’t end there. The kids thought it would be cool to stick their favourite characters on their bracelets. I have Sofia the First, Frozen, Star Wars and Lego fans in the house, so those were the characters they requested. If you’d like to recreate any of these at home, I’ve attached a free printable. Note: All printables are intended for personal use (you print and use it for your child’s craft).  Do not download images to sell or reuse as an image of your own.

Such a cute little craft! I know my kids would love this. They are always trying to save toilet paper rolls and use them for random things.
