Do your kids love baking cookies, but you just don’t have the time or energy to bake with them as often as they’d like to? After all, it certainly is easier to open up a store bought pack of cookies rather than spend an hour of your day baking cookies at home. But then again, the bonding that goes with baking with your kids is just too precious. What to do? Well, here’s a middle ground. Try making this: 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies. It is by far one of the easiest kid friendly recipes the kids and I have ever made. It only consists of 3 ingredients and it only takes 10 minutes to make. Perfect for a quick afternoon snack or that last minute guest. It is really so easy that the kids can practically make them on their own.
Note for those with allergies: This recipe contains Peanut Butter.
3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies
What you need:
- 1 cup Peanut Butter
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 egg
- Optional: Sea salt and Brown sugar for sprinkling
How to Make 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies:
- Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius).
- Mix the peanut butter, brown sugar and egg together.
- Drop balls of cookie dough onto a baking tray lined with wax paper. Flatten the cookie dough by pressing down with a fork and creating a criss cross pattern with the fork (see photos below).
- Bake for 8 minutes. Don’t overcook!
If you take them out at 8 minutes, these 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies come out chewy with some crisp edges.
Optional Step: As soon as you remove the baking tray out of the oven, sprinkle the top with a mixture of sea salt and brown sugar. The combination of salty and sweet makes these 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies taste so much more yummy!
